It mostly bounces around local networks in businesses and the like looking for targets on SMB 445 ports. It probably could infect random computers that are connected through this port though, even if they’re on a different network.
If you have the patch you’re basically immune, but avoid suspicious links and emails and the usual traps.
It does not work AT ALL on Mac or Linux. This particular malware program only infects windows operating systems. It creates an encrypted zip folder.
Look out for taskse.exe and taskdl.exe in your task manager under processes.
